CSE50 Index revised

Dhaka, September 02, 2024:

 

The CSE50 Index has been reviewed and revised on the basis of performance of the CSE listed companies. The new index will be effective from September 12, 2024. CSE50 Index is reviewed twice in a year.    
 

The new companies which have been included are KHAN BROTHERS PP WOVEN BAG INDUSTRIES LTD., SHAHJALAL ISLAMI BANK PLC. and SONALI PAPER & BOARD MILLS LIMITED. On the other hand, ADVANCED CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES LTD., BBS CABLES PLC. and SAIF POWERTEC LIMITED, have been excluded from the previous list. 

The final 50-Index companies are: AB BANK PLC., AL-ARAFAH ISLAMI BANK PLC., BANGLADESH STEEL RE-ROLLING MILLS LTD., BANGLADESH SUBMARINE CABLES PLC, BANK ASIA PLC., BANGLADESH SHIPPING CORPORATION, BEACON PHARMACEUTICALS PLC, BANGLADESH EXPORT IMPORT COMPANY LTD., BEXIMCO PHARMACEUTICALS LIMITED, BRAC BANK PLC., BRITISH AMERICAN TOBACCO BANGLADESH COMPANY LTD., CITY BANK PLC., DELTA LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY LTD., DUTCH-BANGLA BANK PLC., EASTERN BANK PLC., EXPORT IMPORT BANK OF BD.   • 58.42% of full market capitalization as on June 30, 2024 of all stocks listed at CSE
  • 62.92% of free-float market capitalization as on June 30, 2024 of all stocks listed at CSE
  • 38.80% Average daily Turnover in the past 6 months ended June 30, 2024 of all stocks listed at CSE
