Investors’ education is imperative to minimize the investment risk- CSE MD

Investment in the capital market is not out of jeopardy and investors’ education and wisdom is obvious to lessen the related investment menace and to boost the confident- the CSE acting Managing Director Mr. Ghulam Faruque stated during the inauguration speech of the ‘Investor Education and Protection’ seminar organized by CSE at its conference hall in Chittagong head office celebrating the  IOSCO World Investor Week. Mr. Faruque also urged to promote our savings habit and to invest our hard savings to the capital market with safe perception and knowledge. Mr. Mohammad Shamsur Rahman, Chief Regulatory Officer of CSE also emphasized the necessity of Investment knowledge before joining the capital market.

Mr. Arif Ahmad, AGM and Head of Training & Development of CSE led the entire program. The seminar was conducted and the main paper - Investors’ Protection and coherent Investment techniques was presented by Mr. Md Faisal Huda, Deputy Manager, Business Development.  In the second part of the seminar paper note ‘Financial Statement Analysis’ was presented by Ms. Rubaiya Akter, FCA, Deputy Manager, Corporate Finance Department, CSE.  

About 110 masters level business faculty students along with  respectable teachers from University of Chittagong, Premier University, International Islamic University, East Delta University, Chittagong Independent University and Southern University Chittagong participated in the seminar.

Among others, CSE top management e.g.- Mr. Mohammad Munirul Haque, DGM and Head of Listing , Pre- Listing & DP Services; Mr. Md. Mortuza Alam, DGM and Head of Surveillance & Market Operations; Mr. AKM Shahroze Alam, DGM & Head of Market Promotion; Mr. Adnan Abdur Rakib, Manager, TREC Affairs; Mr. Md. Barakat Shafi, Manager, Head of Internal Audit; Mr. Md. Karimullah, Manager, General Services were also present in the program.
